The #BNCPod boys are back with some more brews, and more sports talk hot takes, and we have a special guest on the show with us tonight, as the homie Stacy drops in on the Beer N’ Chicken crew to give us some of his thoughts on the sports topics of the day. We hop right into it as Mike Trout re-signs with the Los Angeles Angels to the tune of… wait for it… $426.5 MILLION! Is the amount of money paid to these players making it harder for the fan base to root for and connect with them? We’ll break that whole topic down. The NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament is going on as we speak, and every year, this tournament produces or introduces us to a player who’s having his major coming out party. From Cassius Winston at Michigan State to Ja Morant at Murray State, which of these players are we really going to see more of in the coming years? We then move to the hardwood as a fan paid nearly $7K to see LeBron James play against Giannis Antetokounmpo. Only thing is, neither one of them played in the game? It was a late season game where many NBA stars are becoming more and more accustomed to resting and sitting games out in preparation for the playoffs, but is the practice of resting these stars in these late season games a ripoff to the paying public? Also in NBA news, The Los Angeles Lakers are going to miss the NBA Playoffs for the 6th straight season. This is despite having LeBron James on the team, so the question has to be asked, who is most responsible for the Los Angeles Lakers not making the playoffs THIS season? And of course, we’ll all be wrapping up up our sports week with the Wing It portion of the show.
