On episode 269 of #TSRP we’re joined by friend of the show, Shane Paul Neil. We’ll discuss Shane’s new podcast, The SPN, along with what’s going on with his other show, SPN Writes. After that, we get In The News, where we discuss the passing of Comedian/Actor John Witherspoon who died at the age of 77. Restaurant chain Chipotle will now pay 100% of their employees college tuition cost. And in Oklahoma, you can now carry a gun, without any sort of permit whatsoever!

Then we’re off to Blue Blazes, where apparently, Eddie Murphy, and Dave Chappelle weigh in on “cancel culture” rather bluntly. Or did they really? There seems to be a concerted effort by right wing publications to amplify this notion of “cancel culture” but is it anywhere near as prevalent as they claim it to be? The movie Harriet has been released this weekend, and once again there is an angst surrounding a film involving slavery. Are we being inundated with these films? Or are we simply embarrassed at the state of African Americans at the time? Or is it something else entirely, we’ll discuss why their is such reservation within the community around these kinds of films. Then, we pivot to Sexy Time where a former Hollywood starlet is letting it be known that at 73, she still wants her cakes smashed. #OldAgeGoals

In Proud To Be An American, a county school board in North Carolina has voted against adding an African American History class to its required curriculum. Donald Trump Jr. clearly has no idea of irony. And an Federal Election Commission filing has just revealed 20 billionaires who hid behind a special interest Political Action Committee to fund advertisements against former President Barack Obama.

Then of course we’ll close out the show with our Champ of The Week. So let’s get to it, we’ve got a lot to cover today here on The Spann Report!
