(Ep. 273) #TSRP “Indubitably Ignorant”

Back at it after the Thanksgiving and Black Friday shenanigans, we here at #TSRP are joined by friend of the show, and host of the Where’s My 40 Acres Podcast, Brandon AKA Phenom Blak. It’s been a while since the fellas were last together on the show, so we do a little catching up, and some congratulations are in order. But after that, we hop In The News, where families of missing black persons are fighting to get attention to be paid by the media to help them find their loved ones. The live in girlfriend of R. Kelly has come out to say that she too has been abused. Or has she? And in Evanston Illinois, the city has decided to use revenue from cannabis sales to fund reparations payments to black residents in the city.

Then it’s on to Blue Blazes, where Kevin Hart is producing a docuseries called Don’t Fuck This Up covering his Oscars hosting fiasco from earlier in the year. Bill Cosby gives his first interview from behind bars and he’s just as defiant as ever. Has jail turned Cosby into a Hotep? And T.I. went on the Facebook Watch show Red Table Talk to discuss the recent controversy his comments on the Ladies Like Us Podcast discussing his daughter’s virginity and the steps he’d take to ensure that she was in fact still a virgin. Was this all just a PR stunt to promote his own podcast and salvage his reputation, or did he really learn anything from the discussion?

And in Proud To Be An American, we learn of a story coming out of Detroit where another white police officer is under investigation after being heard on the phone by other officers using racial slurs. The Republican National Committee is under fire for spending $100K in bulk purchases of Donald Trump Jr’s new book, in and effort to make him a New York Times Best Seller. And in South Dakota, an anti-drug campaign called “Meth, We’re On It” is raising eyebrows across the country.
