On this final episode of The Spann Report for 2019, we’re keeping it regular. We’re going to do this like we normally do, and hope to see you guys right back here after the new year. We start off today’s episode with some Listener Feedback, and then we jump right In The News, where New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy just signed a voting rights restoration bill. Rapper Scarface, of the group, The Geto Boys, lost his bid to becoming a city councilman in the city of Houston Texas. And a possible mass grave dating back to the time of the Black Wall Street massacre has been discovered.
We then move on to Blue Blazes, as a Detroit area Lyft driver is seeking to clear his name, after a rider issued a warning about him on social media. Rapper The Game wants to “investigate” why Oprah Winfrey seemingly targets black sexual predators and not white ones. But does his own sexual assault issues color his commentary on the issue? And in Iraq, residents in Saddam Hussein’s hometown have erected a statue to honor the man who once threw his shoes at former President George W. Bush.
Then it’s Proud To Be An American time, where we find a couple of conservative radio host who went on the air to wish for a “nice school shooting” to distract from the impeachment proceedings. A judge in the state of Wisconsin, has ordered that the state must purge upwards of 200K voters from the registration rolls. And the home of an Iowa man who has confederate flag, and nazi displays around his home found it vandalized.
We wrap everything up with our Champ of The Week before we get on outta here for the new year. So let’s get this ball rolling for the final time in 2019, and get to this Real Talk, ALL THE TIME here on The Spann Report!
