On Episode 287 of #TSRP we open up the show with some of Spann’s Random Thoughts, and some Listener Feedback before we get In The News. And our first story in the news is a big one as Senate Democrats have come to an agreement with the White House on a Stimulus Package to help the U.S. economy during this pandemic. Trump is already talking about opening the up the U.S. economy by Easter despite the rapid number of new cases of COVID-19 popping up across the country. Facebook is donating over 720K facemask from it’s emergency stash due to this pandemic, and could this new Coronavirus stimulus package lead to the creation of a new digital currency? Conspiracy theorist are having the time of their lives these last few weeks.

Then it’s off to Blue Blazes, where Chicago Police have had to break up house parties after the state of Illinois went under a Shelter In Place Order. Liquor stores in New York State are considered essential and will remain open during their Shelter In Place Order. Essence Fest, is looking to defy the odds, as they plan to go ahead with the event held in New Orleans in July as scheduled. Will they be able to pull it off? Should they be able to try? And in Los Angeles, the Mayor has announced that they will be terminating the water and electric services to non-essential businesses that refuse to close during their Shelter In Place Order.

Over to Proud To Be An American we go, where a new CBS Poll has some surprising results as to how Americans are feeling about the way that Donald Trump is handling this Coronavirus Crisis. Texas Lt. Governor Dan Patrick, believes that older Americans are willing to sacrifice themselves for the younger generation as soon as possible to get the economy rolling again. And Liberty University, founded by Christian Fundamentalist Jerry Falwell, and currently run by his son, Jerry Falwell Jr. is under fire as they have told students and faculty to return to the school. This happening again, despite the rising cases of COVID-19 throughout the country.
