On episode 292 of #TSRP we get right to it with some of Spann’s Random Thoughts before he jump In The News, where in Kentucky, they’ve suffered more Coronavirus infections after a week of protest in the state aimed at opening the state back up. Hydroxychloroquine may not be the miracle drug that Donald Trump was touting it to be. The Mayor of Las Vegas essentially offered her citizens up as lab rats while talking about opening the city back up. And an Idaho woman got arrested after refusing to leave a closed park.
On to Blue Blazes we go, where actor Jason Mitchell finds himself in a heap of trouble after being caught with drugs and firearms in Mississippi. A Detroit woman is on the run, after she hit a store clerk with a bag of bottles, after she was informed she couldn’t return the bottles due to COVID-19. Timbaland and Swizz Beats are touting another Instagram battle between Dr. Dre, and Diddy. But would you be willing to pay to see it? And 2 Georgia High School Students have been expelled after they made a racist Tic Tok video. But is racism a symptom of Coronavirus? We even have a new member of The Special Hotep Unit, and when you see who it is, your mind will be blown.
Then, in Proud To Be An American, some landlords were illegally spying on the stimulus check status of their tenants. A now FORMER Democratic Georgia lawmaker resigns soon after he comes out with his endorsement of Donald Trump. This while Atlanta’s Mayor, Keisha Lance Bottoms gets racist emails telling her to re-open the city. And are these protest happening across the country truly a result of a grassroots movement, or are there more powerful players at hand here with ties to the White House and Donald Trump? We’ll discuss the astroturfing of these seemingly spontaneous “movements” and get to the bottom of it.
And of course like always, we close the show with our Champ Of The Week! So come through, grab a drink, and chill out with ya man Spann with the Real Talk, ALL THE TIME, on The Spann Report!
