Basketball superstar point guard Kyrie Irving elicits strong feelings in many people. Some of it is about his game, but a lot of it comes from how people feel about his actions away from the basketball court. From his stances on the COVID-19 Vaccine mandates, to his posting links on his social media accounts promoting a movie many feel trafficked in anti-semitic tropes, his ideas around these issues have cost him to miss a number of games. This week, we witnessed both Stephen A. Smith and Jay Williams get in a heated exchange as to whether or not the criticism Irving receives is fair or not. What we’ll be discussing on this episode of Mr. Spann Official, is whether or not Kyrie Irving is a misunderstood athlete fighting for a greater good, or, is he a spoiled athlete who’s guaranteed contract allows for him to pull the stunts he does? Could it be both? We’ll hash that out tonight on Mr. Spann Official!
